When you request to be a certain rank, you are on hold until you complete your tasks that you are asked to do to become what rank you have chosen.
No your tasks should not be hard. Though, some may vary in difficulty if you have requested one of the Highest Authorities. But they shouldn't be hard.
No, we will not choose a tier for you. That is up for you to decide.

- What is your character's personality like?
Are they dominant and like to "say what goes"? If so, possibly the Discipliner would be a good tier for them.
